Welcome to my blog-I hope you enjoy!

Corner Shelf Find

I found this corner shelf at our local Good Will. This is what I did with it.
I sanded and base coated it. Painted it off white and stamped a lot of images on. Then sanded again to remove part of the stamped images. Then I went over the whole piece with a tan color and wiped it off as I went a long to give an aged look. And then I sanded it once more. Put a sealer on. I like how it turned out. The top shelf is a little off but I think it adds to the charm.

"EGGS"

Artchix Sister Site Lottery- Theme is "Eggs"- Marion the host.

BUNNIES IN A BAG

The Sum Of All MY ATCs is having a swap "Dressing A Bunny". Valeria gave us the template to use for the bunny. I used water colors for the bunnies and attached their legs and arms. I made the dresses then colored with markers. Attached bows and flowers. I loves making the shoes which I then used markers to color. I attached some charms and I had these little bags so I stamped them. I put the bunnies in and then added some pink scraps to fill the bags up.
I love doing this one. Thanks Valeria for another great swap.

ARTCHIX SISTER SITE SWAP-"Fat Books"

The colors this month are "red and sepia". The are 4" by 4". When we finish we will all have a very colorful book.

"ONCE UPON A SPRINGTIME"

Here are my entries for "Once Upon A Springtime"-Maggie Lind is out host. The swap is with "The Sum Of All My ATCs. I used some images that Valeria Brincheck had giving us on her blog. She is so wonderful to us and always gives us wonderful images. Thanks Valeria.

LOVE-LY NIGHT

Artchix Sister Site Lottery-theme "Butterflies"-host Cindy McMath. This is my entry. I love this image of the little girl-she is just so sweet!

ANGELS

I made these angels out of wood. I used vintage lace and copied vintage music sheets to make their dresses. I outlined them in black and smudged the edges with a brown ink pad. I attached the dress to the body of the angel with mod podge. I painted the shoes on and the faces. I added wool for their hair. I used vintage linens for their aprons, added vintage buttons and and old key to their hands. And I used some wooden decorations for their wings that I painted. Last I added halos and a ribbon to hang them. I sealed with a sealer. Now these little angels need to find a good home.

Easter Swap

Easter Swap with Artchix Sister Site. The theme of course is Easter and Lisa Robinson is our host. I enjoyed doing these went right along with our wonderful spring weather.

ALLIGATOR

Our first little alligator of the year at the Ravine Gardens Park. He or she is about 2 feet in length.
You have to look really hard for one because they blend in so well. They always look like a log floating in the pond until you see their eyes.

"RENAISSANCE FAIR"

Swap with "The Sum Of All My ATCS". Maggie Lind is the host and the theme is "Renaissance Fair". I love the images from "Paper Whimsy" and used them here. I out lined them in black marker and then added same red paper to out line more. Love these ladies.

"LIFE IS A CIRCUS"

Artchix Sister Site Lottery-Sallie Rodman is the host and the theme is the "CIRCUS". I made a paper doll and draw a black line for the tight rope. This is a great theme with so many different choices to choose from. It was hard to pick one.

ROUND ROBIN

The theme was "Labels". Here are the first two pages I did. I used Tim Holts pages for the back ground and made the ladies were the labels. I out lined them in back with a blue page the accent them.
These pages I made a pocket using a page from Tim's book. I made some labels into tages and placed in the pockets. The next page is a collage made with labels.
So much fun to play.

Found Treasures

Found these lovely ladies-they are great a little dirty but just right for what I want to do with them.

"BY THE SEA"

Just finished my "By The Sea" lottery entry. I love the ocean and these were fun to do. I took about 5 colors of paint (all water colors). I put the paint on heavy-and on different places and then put the other ATC on top of the first one. Push them together and then pulled them a part and let dry. I think is looks like the sea.

MORE TREASURES

We went back to Waldo Flea Market Saturday and I found these wonderful books,
all these little treasures (fun to art with), and
these vintage music sheets. Oh, what fun it was to go hunting. I hope I get to go at least once more before the season ends.

Bobbie Pins

I had these bobbie pins blanks, and cut out some images to place in them. I added a little Diamond Glaze to attach the images-let dry. After they were dry I added more Diamond Glazed to fill the blanks. So now I have some cute pins for hair. Quick and easy.

"Color Mine Green"

Artchix Sister Site Lottery- Theme "Color Mine Green". Used Artchix Studio Images and color them green with markers.

ATCs FOR FUN GROUP

The theme is "Angel Babies". I love vintage photos of babies and I used these two for the atc. I added wings and some vintage buttons stickers. I added a button sticker behind their heads for their halos.

FAT BOOK SWAP

Artchix Sister Site Swap. The pages are to be 4" by 4" and each month we have different colors to create with. This month is orange and pink. We can choose any theme we want. Here is the front of my pages,
and here is the back.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY-my gift to you a free down load

I wish every one a Happy Valentines Day. My gift to you is a free down load. I made it the other day and hope you enjoy. Just clip on it and down load.

FOR A TRADE WITH A FRIEND

I used the back of a picture frame-add paper for the back ground and image is from Paper Whimsy. I out lined her in black to make her pop out. I had this lace heart and used it up side down for the framing the lady-added some green lace flowers and the black tassel. I used glitter to hi-light her dress and jewelry. I added the tiny pink hearts on the lace flowers. I sure hope Sue like it.

"New Beginnings"

Artchix Sister Site Lottery-Theme-"Waiting for Spring" and Christa Bockelman is our host. I decided to use an image of a bride because she is waiting to begin a new life.

"Sweethearts" Swap

Artchix Studio Swap-theme "Sweethearts" We were to use left over Valentine things. I had some hearts and images. I used them here. There is stitches around two sides and some lace on a few of them. Fun to use up some of my stuff.

Brass Bracelets

I had these blank brass bracelets for a while and decided to do something with them. I added some brass filigree using jewelry cement to attach. Then I added some charms ands some beads.

Trip To St. Johns Flea Market

These wonderful photos and post cards were only $5.00.
Chest pieces are in fantastic condition. As your can see the bag they came in is pretty bang up-but love it even more for that reason. The chest pieces are going to be fun coming up with something to do with them. They were $15.00 so less then a $1.00 a piece.
Keys- the tin was pretty full and they were $10.00-a little costly but can be used for so many art projects.
Hinges came in a suit case which was $10.00 for both. So many different kind of hinges-so many to choose from.
As you can see the suit case is very dirty-but I am going to scrub it and remove the lining. Then I will paint it and add images. For the inside I think I will line with fabric-so many choices to make.

I love treasure hunting and the winter is the best time in Florida. I hope in a couple of weeks to hit the Daytona Flea Market. I hope it is as much fun as this one-just to many choices to make.

LITTLE BRASS BOXES

I found these little brass boxes a while a go. I decided to make shadow boxes out of them. The smallest is 2' by 2' and about 1" tall. The largest is about 4" by 4" and bout 1 1/2" tall.
I added my images and let dry. Added some Diamond Glaze to the objects and let dry. Then I added some extra fine glitter.
On the lids I added either a shell or bead for a handle with some fancy yarn.
What a fun project this has been.
At last I finish my necklace and ear ring set. I started them yesterday but took a lot longer then I thought. I got the lovely bird from "Retro Cafe". It is tin and I drilled some holes and coated it with a sealer. I love this bird when I got it and thought it would make a great necklace.

Dress 4

Dress 4-I design using ribbon also. I painted with glitter glue and the top and the top of the bottom of the skirt. I enjoyed doing these- a lot of work but fun.

DRESS # 3

Dress #3-Hard a hard time with this one-glad I finished with it.
