I used vintage post cards for this. I thought it could be used as a jewelry box or a chest to keep writing material together.
The top part is large enough to hold note cards, envelopes and stamps and the lower drawer could hold stationery, envelopes and pens for writing. Or the compartments could hold wax for the use of you seal.
The group "Art For The Creative Mind" is having a Christmas Pennant swap. You are to choose a word and make the pennant using that word. I choose the word believe. 
I made a fun necklace and earring set today. It was so enjoyable to just play around with found treasures.
I love mermaids!! So I made these to hold jewelry. Also the fork is twisted so it can hold a note. The mermaid images are from Artchix Studios. I used candle stick holders-using a wooden dowel. I drilled two holes in the fork so I could attach the mermaid to the dowel with nails. I also used large nail I painted and used paper to cover the nails.
The girl faces are from Paper Whimsy. I love these old pocket watches-pocket watches have a special place in my heart. My Grandfather always used one with a chain that attached to his pocket-so he would not lose it.
I found some salt and pepper shakers at Good Will over the year and thought this would be a quick and cute idea for the Holiday House this year. I finish these three and have several more to finish. I run out of wire, so need to go out to get some more.
My button snowmen are already to hang on a tree or you can wear them. So easy to make. I used vintage buttons-wiring them together and adding the glass bead that already had a face face and a carrot nose. I used a large black sequin and a black glass bead for the hat-twisted the wire on top for a hanger. Added string around the neck for the scarf.
This snowman is about 3" tall
These snowmen are about 2" tall.
I put this charm bracelet together and it was a lot of fun finding lots of little items to add to the bracelet.
At last my angels are finished. They are 16" to 18" tall not counting the wings.
These are the bases for my angels. I got these at a craft store, they were for potted plants.
I bent the legs up and sanded and painted them gold. I used paper clay to made the bodies and added porcelain heads. I used pipe cleaners to attach the hands. I wrapped lace around the arms to give them a shape.
Then the fun begins-dressing them. I used some vintage lace and linens and some newer item to finish them.
In the base I added a bird nest, glass beads for eggs and birds.

I got these frames with the cork sheet already in them at the Dollar Tree - they were unpainted so just added some off white paint-used a little crackle paint on top and then gold glazed-sealed. I made the push pin with the glass stones that were painted with different seasons of the year. Added the flowers and a hanger on the back-this was a quick and easy project.
I found these lovely candle stick holders-they are very heavy metal-so what to make? I decided they would be wonderful pin cushions, but as I was finishing them I thought what a perfect way to keep your brooches-plus that way you can enjoy your brooches even when you are not wearing them.
So, easy to make just used some velvet and stuffing-glued them in the candle stick-then added the trim-I used a hat pin with beads on it to stick the butterfly on -added a little glue to keep in place-
"The Sum Of All My Crafts" is having a pennant swap. You have to make 3 and they can be made with paper, clothe anything you want to use. I used muslin and traced some vintage images on to the muslin, colored with oil pencils and then embroider the images. I added glass beads and some flowers to some and then added the ribbon hanger with a bow. Last I added some vintage buttons.

I created this blue angel today. When I was at Good Will the other day I found this blue vase. It was one that is round on the bottom in seats into a metal frame. I have made many angels by using this cone vases. This one is a little smaller only about 5". I made her blouse out vintage handkerchief. Made a halo, added wings and added a little bing. I always love to make angels.

Artchix Sister Site is having a haunted house swap. These are a few of the houses I created.
I want to make an accordion style for the haunted houses I receive and place it on my fire place. Here they are with the doors open.

A different style for these-we were to make few in one style and a few more in a different style. We hope to have 13 in all-so it will be a wonderful accordion. My fire place is going to look fantastic.
