Welcome to my blog-I hope you enjoy!

A Couple Of Fairies

I love making most things in to fairies.  These are little vintage salt shakers.  I made these last year for our Holiday House.  And when I found these small shakers  I decided to do a couple more.

Childs Play

Another altered jar.  (Cild's Play)  Image is from Paper Whimsy.

My Baby Angel

I have some old porcelain doll parts and decided to make a baby angel.
I painted the porcelain and use paper clay to attach her to the bottle.  (Part a few treasure in the bottle first) I also aged the porcelain to look old.
Dressed her in vintage linens add her wings and a large bow to her gown.  I like how she turned out.  What do you think?

How To Catch A Fairy

I created this little fairy in a jar.  The image is from "Paper Whimsy" (love their images)  and add embellishments.

Little Books

I found these little blank books at Joann's.  Collage them for extra little gifts

Round Robin

These are the pages I made for the round robin Art For The Created Mind hosted.  Mary's theme was "Something To Believe In".
This was such a fun and talent was fantastic.  I received my book back and each page is wonderful  Thanks to the artist who created in my book.  I will treasure it always.

Box

I used napkins to paper mache this box. Added velvet ribbon and a few embellishments.

Buckets & Frames

Love what Debbie Hodge had for us this month.  We had these three pails and all these cute little frames with wonderful vintage images.
Debbie talked us through each step in creating these.  I love them and can't wait to see what she has in store for us next month.

Cork Tassels

Tassel are made with chains ribbon and lots of little treasures.  The only hard part was drinking all that wine  (ha ha)
I sanded the corks to remove the wine logo and push a wire though the cork0made loops on the ends and added the embellishments.

Crown With Nest

Another great monthly kit from Swoon With Deb Hodge.  This so pretty in real life, I wish the photos would have turn out better.

New Dolls

I had fun making these little dolls.  I used Paper Whimsy images, and vintage handkerchiefs for there dresses.  I used old silverware for their bases.

Tea Pots

I used vintage forks for their stands,  The wings are the bowel of the spoon -that I flattened and added to the backs.  I added some ribbon and a flower and they are finish.  I really love them.

"Art Speaks Volumes"

Here is my spread for the Round Robin in our group "Art Speaks Volumes".  This is Laura's book and her theme is "Vintage Birds And Insects"
I tried a little something different and made the pages open up from the inside of the page.  I am happy with the way it turned put.

Sue Pelletier's Class

I took a class with Sue Pelletier on using air drying clay and burlap on a canvas.  It was a lot of fun, we used vintage buttons, vintage paper, wire, burlap, paper clay, paint and pencils. It sure was fun and I learn a lot of ways to use things in a new way.
Thanks Sue for all the fun-while learning a lot of new things.
