Welcome to my blog-I hope you enjoy!

Spring/Easter Swap

This swap is with Artchix-sister Site.  So I put Easter on one side and spring on the other.

Special Order

This was a special oder from a man for his wife.  .  32 and 27 have a special meaning to them and they love vintage.  His wife was very happy with it.  I am so glad-always worry when there is a special oder.

A Little Christmas house

I finally finished my Little Christmas house.  It was from Swoon With Debbie Hodge monthly kits.  She always has the best stuff to create with.  Painted the house added glass german glitter and sugar glitter.  A lot of fun and will add it to my Christmas things.

Another Altered Pocket

I enjoyed doing the other pocket so did another one with mermaid theme.  So easy and fun I hope you try one.

Altered Pocket

Art For The Creative Mind swap-an altered jean pocket.  I used a silk image, cut the pocket in an x.  Place the picture under the edges.  I added some trim and embellishments.  Added a ribbon for hanging.

Valentines

Swap with Artchix Sister-site--Nikki is our host for this swap.   Tag swaps are always fun-especially Romantic Ones.

Altered Book

Art For The Creative Mind Swap--altered book with drawers--theme Romantic Era.  I glue all pages together except the back book cover.  Then cut out the place for the drawers and glue the back cover.  I made the drawers form cardboard. Embellished with vintage earrings and filagree.  Added the bow and flower.
I sure hope my swap partner likes it.

Look What I Found

I found this wonderful  bust in Georgia while visiting my son and his wife over the holidays.
There is a crack across the back, I will patch it and then cover is in tissue paper.
I want to use it for a display for the jewelry I create.  What do you think?

Vintage Lace Belts

I love these so much.  I used vintage lace from pillow cases and vintage belt buckets.  I put them is the Holiday House and they are already sold-love it.

VINTAGE TREES IN SALT SHAKERS

Found these wonderful salt shakers at a thrift store.  Added vintage trees and some glitter.  Embellished the tops-love those old bottle trees.

Vintage White Tags

Art For The Creative Mind had a vintage white tag swap.  I enjoyed making them.

Winter Glitter

Art For The Creative Mind had a swap with 3 spools and the theme Winter Glitter.  Here are mine.  The first one is a pin cushion, the second and third are note holders.  I hope my swap person like them.

Don't Throw The Old Rake Out

My husband was going to throw the rake away.  I caught him just in time.  I saw this idea and love it, so here is my wine glass holder or necklace holder-ready for the Holiday House.

Soldier Necklsces

A couple of soldier necklace I finished.  On their way to the Holiday House.  The House opens on Nov 16.  I can hardly wait to see what every one has created for it.

Up On Your Toes

I love these old cake toppers.  Fun to create with.  Embellished a couple of jars with them.

The bracelet was a gift from Debbie Hodge.  I wove pink velvet and added some medal roses.  Thanks Debbie.

A Small Chest

found this chest at our Good Will.  I repainted it and added vintage earrings for the handles.  The chest is about 12" tall.  I have two more small chest to re-do.  I need to get busy.

Silhouettes

A Pair of silhouettes I did using the frames and silhouettes from Alpha Stamps.

Some New Treasures

I finished these two pieces today.  Both the necklace and bracelet will go in my art showing next week.  The Palatka Art League is honoring me for the month of October.  I will have my creations on display. I am very excited about be chosen for this month.

Fun Tins

I made ones like these last year and they all sold at the Holiday House, so decided to make a few more.  I have finish three, still have few more to create with different themes.  A tin full of magnets.  I great little gift for that special friend or to thank someone for being special.

Cross Bracelets

I was going though my old jewelry junk box and came across these crosses so decided to make some bracelets, and  here they are.  The only hard part was making a curve in the cross so they would lay across the wrist.  I was worried they might break.  So lucky they didn't.

Altered Coffin

Our group Art For The Creative Mind has a altered coffin swap.  This is my altered coffin.
He is a very dashing fellow and has his small friend with him.  I enjoyed doing this swap and I Can't wait to see what I received.  I just know it is going to be fantastic.

Dream Banner

This was fun-Debbie sent me the beveled glass and the linen Letters. I joined the glass with the letters dream. I painted the brass and place in the oven for  about 20 minutes.  I used the brass to embellish the frames.  Added some rhinestones Debbie also sent.  Aged the chain and put them together.  I love this banner-dream is one of my favorite words.

With A Little Brass & Crystals

I had this brass ring that Debbie had sent me and I painted and made a few holes and added a chain for hanging and some vintage crystals.

Cone With German Glass Gliitter

I received this large cone (about 16"tall) from Debbie Hodge.  Part of one of her kits.  It is made with German glass glitter and with brass findings.  The top edge is soldier and brass findings to hold the ribbon for hanging.  I have to decide what I will fill it with.  Love the packages that come from Debbie.

Bottle Angels

Here are some angels I created with a porcelain doll head and paper clay for their bodies.  I added some treasures in the bottles and then place their heads and made their bodies.  I try to make angels every year for our Holiday house.
