Welcome to my blog-I hope you enjoy!

Crown With Nest

Another great monthly kit from Swoon With Deb Hodge.  This so pretty in real life, I wish the photos would have turn out better.

New Dolls

I had fun making these little dolls.  I used Paper Whimsy images, and vintage handkerchiefs for there dresses.  I used old silverware for their bases.

Tea Pots

cute little wooden tea pots-Painted them and added ribbon

Faerie Book Swap

Karla is having a farerie book swap-sounds like a wonderful creative idea.  I am joining this one.

Paper Whimsy Images

These are my ladies I created.  The images are from "Paper Whimsy" and their dresses are from vintage hankies.
I used vintage forks for their stands,  The wings are the bowel of the spoon -that I flattened and added to the backs.  I added some ribbon and a flower and they are finish.  I really love them.

"Art Speaks Volumes"

Here is my spread for the Round Robin in our group "Art Speaks Volumes".  This is Laura's book and her theme is "Vintage Birds And Insects"
I tried a little something different and made the pages open up from the inside of the page.  I am happy with the way it turned put.

GLASS

Here are a couple of bottles I altered.  I soldier and t added ribbon, and other embellishments. Love making these-plus the fun of finding vintage bottles is always fun.

"Marvellous Land Of Oz"

My Round Robin with "Art For The Creative Mind".  This is Karen's book and her theme is "Marvellous Land Of Oz",  I choose the part with the Poppies that put the charactors to sleep. just before reaching oz.

Sue Pelletier's Class

I took a class with Sue Pelletier on using air drying clay and burlap on a canvas.  It was a lot of fun, we used vintage buttons, vintage paper, wire, burlap, paper clay, paint and pencils. It sure was fun and I learn a lot of ways to use things in a new way.
Thanks Sue for all the fun-while learning a lot of new things.

Just A Little Something

I made this silhouette using one of those small silver trays (3") added some velvet ribbon and a brass ring.  It is for a friend-hope she likes it.

A Touch Of Paris

I have had this band box for a long time and decided to finally do something with it.  I cover it in wrapping paper.  I used some velvet ribbon and some brass charms I had.

I finish covering the inside also and added some matching tissue paper I put in the box.  I like how it turned out.  Now I need to get busy and finish those other paper mache boxes I have.

"Fragments Of The Past"

Art For The Creative Mind is having a cigar box swap.  Theme is "Fragments From The Past"
It was so much fun going though all my vintage junk or treasures and to fill the box. I used Graphic 45 papers  to line the box and to make the dividers.  I choose to leave the box as is-the cigar box images where just to fantastic too cover.

"Dorothy Where Are You?"

Theme for book shadow box swap was "Dorothy Where Are You"  (Art For The Creative Mind)  I used an old French Dictionary.  I glued the out side pages and clovers together and cut though them. (I saved the pages for other projects)  I then glued the pages together on the in side.  Then just had fun embellishing.
Another fun swap "Art For The Creative Mind"

Swoon With Deb Hodge

Deb Hodge did it again.  This was a great kit and had so much fun putting it together.  Thanks Deb-love, love it.

"Paris In Spring"

"Paris in Spring" swap with Artchix Sister-Site.  Nikki is our host and choose this delightful theme.  I know every one is going to create wonderful ATCs.

4 by 4 inch quilts

Art For The Creative Mind had a 4 by 4 inch quilt swap.  I did not join in on the swap, I did not think I would be able to fine the time.  When I did I did a couple of them up.  It was something a little different I enjoyed doing them.

"Art Speaks In Volumes" Round Robin

This is T.J.'s book-her theme "Strong Powerful and Influential Women".  There are so many-so I kind of went though history and pick a few.  Great theme!
