Welcome to my blog-I hope you enjoy!

TUSSIE MUSSIE

"Art For The Creative Mind" had a tussie mussie swap. I made mine by soldering the top and the bottom. I used decorative paper and added some filigree with a maid in the middle. I aged some chain and added them to the bottom and sides.

Can't wait to see what I receive.

Polymer Clay Tiles

I took a class with Karen Shafer at The Small Cleverness a great stamp store. Karen show us how to make tiles using stamps and all kinds of paint, powers, charms and many others objects to decorate them.
So I used my tiles and made a book cover. And the rest of the pictures our of my book.
This was a fun class and Karen shared with us lots of ideas on using polymer clay.
She also showed us how to transfer and image on to the clay. I have not tried that, but will in the near future.
So if you get a chance to take a class with Karen it is well worth it.

ALTERED EGG

Art For The Creative Mind had altered egg swap. I used an old leggs egg that I have had for a long time.. I covered it with vintage music sheet. I attached a hinge so you could open and close it. Embellished around the middle which help give strength to the hinge.
I covered the inside with vintage music sheet also. Attached velvet around the edge (covered the screws on the hinge). Last added the vintage image. I used this holder for the egg to sit in(found it at Good Will) Added the heart shape lace.

I can't wait to see what I will receive in the swap.

ROUND ROBIN-"Art Speaks Volume"

Sallie's book for the RR. Her theme is "Vintage" one of my favorite things.

Art For The Creative Mind's Round Robin

Michelle's book theme is "Fairy Tails" not Fairy Tales. So I did a page of dragons. My favorite one I think is the one I made with buttons. Fun theme.

CHANDELIER

I joined Deb Hodge month club. This was January's. I love making this chandelier and can't wait to display it. I covered the cones and the back of the vintage pictures with German glass glitter. The pictures were printed on linen and attached to beveled glass. The brass findings were aged. The lamp shade's wire is covered with ribbon. There are rhinestones on the brass findings (I used E-6000 to attach the findings and the rhinestones.) I put some floral foam in the cones so I can change the flowers very easy. (So I can match the seasons.)
I can't wait to get started on February's. Which is going to be just as fantastic.
