Welcome to my blog-I hope you enjoy!

Bed Springs

I found these vintage bed springs at Bloomers a really cool store here in East Palatka.

I decides to make them into snow men.
This was so much fun-Used a form ball for the base of the snow man head - covered the head with Golden's molding paste.  I made the carrot noses out of paper clay-painted them orange.  I used beads for the eyes and nose which I pushed into the head before the paste dried. (also the nose)  When dry I painted them with glitter paint.

the hat are paper macho-which I painted black and distressed them-Added the ribbon for the band on the hat and around the neck for a scaf.

Romantic Wrapped Necklace With Diane Cook

Here are the necklaces I made from Diane Cook's class with Artful Gathering.
Her class is a lot of fun and learned some wonderful tips

Art For The Creative Mind Swap

Theme 8" by 8" swap using material instead of paper.  My image is silk copy of a vintage image.
Than I used vintage laces and over embellishments.

Fairy Theater

Just finished a class with Iva Wilcox at Artful Gathering.  We made this wonderful lit fairy theater.
Iva is a fantastic teacher-enjoyed her class so much.
There is still time to take her class at Artful Gathering.
Iva will be teaching another class in the second session-A halloween theme theater.

Real Or Borrowed Relatives ATC

ATC swap for Act For The Creative Mind June Swap-"Real Or Borrowed Relatives Cabinet Card
I found the images I wanted t use and re-sized them.  Copied and resized a cabinet card.
Cut the image to fit. cut out the cabinet card and copied it again so I could use for the back of the AT
Aged and distress them with ink pads-stamp some designs on front and back with gold ink.
I think they turned out really well.
I hope my swap partner is happy.

Nest

Another from Debbie Hodge-large wooden letters with filigree attached then painted a pale Robin eggs blue.  Added a chain and crystals.

I hang it on my fire place.  Just love it.

A Little Spice

I used some old spice bottles for this I found in a Good Will.  I aged the tops, added filagree and some beads to the top, and added treasures in the bottles.  Used solder around the bottles, added jump rings and chain.  Attached a charm to the front of the bottle.

Give Me A Hand

 Love these paper macho hands.
I first base coated them and then use a medal paint on the base-then use Sophisticated Finishes rust solution on them. Attached tissue paper on the hand part.  Added stamped images. Sealed with a sealer. Embellished with different items.

Art For The Creative Mind

License Plates

I used license plates to make these pieces.  The necklace is made by using a filagree finding attached to the stone and attaching to a chain
I cut the places up and made holes and attached with jump rings
Here are are a couple of the ear rings I made also.
