Welcome to my blog-I hope you enjoy!

"Art Speaks In Volumes" Round Robin

This is T.J.'s book-her theme "Strong Powerful and Influential Women".  There are so many-so I kind of went though history and pick a few.  Great theme!

Art Dolls Class

Paper Whimsy offer this art doll class with Laura Roberts.  They were so much fun and Laura give the best directions-so easy to follow. Fun fun fun

Gift From Deb

Isn't this a wonderful gift.  Deb Hodge sent this when I join her month club.  I love it and have it in my guest bedroom.  It looks great with all my vintage items I have collected.  Thanks Deb you are the best.

Round Robin

This is Nancy's book.  Her theme is "Jewells Of The Orient".  I love doing these pages so much fun!

More Hand Made Beads

These are from "Creative Lenna's bead swap. Some are made from paper, material, embossed and more ideas. I made the necklace and think it is delightful. I will be wearing it often. Thanks so much to the clever artist that created them, and a special thanks to Lenna for hosting. Fun, fun ,fun.

Hand Made Paper Beads

"Art For The Creative Mind" had a paper bead swap. Aren't all the bead to wonderful. I added bead caps to the end of the beads to give them the look of belonging together-even with each bead being totally different. I love this necklace and will enjoy showing it off. Thanks TG for a fantastic swap.

Vintage Bottles

Had fun decorating these bottles. They are filled with little treasures.

MY CROWN

Here is my crown. Swoon With Deb Hodge Feb kit. The pillow is a large 2 feet square-added the hearts on the corners. The crown fits me and has wonderful rhinestones we added after aging the brass. I also ages the brass on the rhinestones.
March's is a wonderful set of pictures in beveled glass. I need to get busy before the next month's get here. Thanks Deb this is so much fun.

TUSSIE MUSSIE

"Art For The Creative Mind" had a tussie mussie swap. I made mine by soldering the top and the bottom. I used decorative paper and added some filigree with a maid in the middle. I aged some chain and added them to the bottom and sides.

Can't wait to see what I receive.

Polymer Clay Tiles

I took a class with Karen Shafer at The Small Cleverness a great stamp store. Karen show us how to make tiles using stamps and all kinds of paint, powers, charms and many others objects to decorate them.
So I used my tiles and made a book cover. And the rest of the pictures our of my book.
This was a fun class and Karen shared with us lots of ideas on using polymer clay.
She also showed us how to transfer and image on to the clay. I have not tried that, but will in the near future.
So if you get a chance to take a class with Karen it is well worth it.

ALTERED EGG

Art For The Creative Mind had altered egg swap. I used an old leggs egg that I have had for a long time.. I covered it with vintage music sheet. I attached a hinge so you could open and close it. Embellished around the middle which help give strength to the hinge.
I covered the inside with vintage music sheet also. Attached velvet around the edge (covered the screws on the hinge). Last added the vintage image. I used this holder for the egg to sit in(found it at Good Will) Added the heart shape lace.

I can't wait to see what I will receive in the swap.

ROUND ROBIN-"Art Speaks Volume"

Sallie's book for the RR. Her theme is "Vintage" one of my favorite things.

Art For The Creative Mind's Round Robin

Michelle's book theme is "Fairy Tails" not Fairy Tales. So I did a page of dragons. My favorite one I think is the one I made with buttons. Fun theme.

CHANDELIER

I joined Deb Hodge month club. This was January's. I love making this chandelier and can't wait to display it. I covered the cones and the back of the vintage pictures with German glass glitter. The pictures were printed on linen and attached to beveled glass. The brass findings were aged. The lamp shade's wire is covered with ribbon. There are rhinestones on the brass findings (I used E-6000 to attach the findings and the rhinestones.) I put some floral foam in the cones so I can change the flowers very easy. (So I can match the seasons.)
I can't wait to get started on February's. Which is going to be just as fantastic.

THE DEEP BLUE SEA

I am also doing a Round Robin with "Art For The Creative Mind". This is Ruth's book and her theme "The Deep Blue Sea". Great theme and a lot of fun to do.

ALTERED BOTTLES

Anther class I took with Joni Russell was altered bottles. Love this class. We solider a bottle and then got to add found treasure for the inside. I used an vintage envelope deep in wax to attach it to the bottle. I have a hanging mermaid on the inside and used a shell for the stopper. Aged ribbon and chains added more to the bottle. (Some of my treasure in side the bottle are sea shell, rusty screen, old wire, shredded vintage dictionary pages and some glitter.)
After this bottle was soldier-I added some treasures-shredded dictionary pages, aged ribbon, rusty screen, and added a hanging crystal inside the bottle. I waxed some lace to attach to the bottle. Also some aged ribbon for the stopper. I used a handle from a silver knife and a vintage rhinestone to to top.

COPPER BRACELET

I took this wonderful class by Joni Russell at the Small Cleverness. We learned how to etch and transfer on copper. We had so much fun.
I tried to take good photos but kept getting to much shine. So the transfer doesn't show up very well. But I love my bracelet. And a big thank you to Joni for the class and Donna for having it.

Round Robin

This is Renee's book and her theme is "Remember In Green". I love green so had a ball doing these pages.

4 by 4 pages for my book

Colors this month are red, white, and pink. I got a Vagabond and used it to emboss the white 4 by 4 papers, then used a stamp pad to color the red and pink on them.

I am having so much fun with my Vagabond.

MEET THE ARTCHIX's

We are having a wonderful swap called "Meet The Artchix's". Sandy is our host and we are to make atcs with our image on them. I choose to be a dancer. It was a lot of fun and can't wait to see what everyone else creates.

Love Valentines

I used a couple of wooden hearts I had to make these. They already had the holes so I just had to decorate.

Valentines

Found these salt and pepper shaker for $1.00. So I made little Valentines flowers with them.
