THE DEEP BLUE SEA

I am also doing a Round Robin with "Art For The Creative Mind". This is Ruth's book and her theme "The Deep Blue Sea". Great theme and a lot of fun to do.

ALTERED BOTTLES

Anther class I took with Joni Russell was altered bottles. Love this class. We solider a bottle and then got to add found treasure for the inside. I used an vintage envelope deep in wax to attach it to the bottle. I have a hanging mermaid on the inside and used a shell for the stopper. Aged ribbon and chains added more to the bottle. (Some of my treasure in side the bottle are sea shell, rusty screen, old wire, shredded vintage dictionary pages and some glitter.)
After this bottle was soldier-I added some treasures-shredded dictionary pages, aged ribbon, rusty screen, and added a hanging crystal inside the bottle. I waxed some lace to attach to the bottle. Also some aged ribbon for the stopper. I used a handle from a silver knife and a vintage rhinestone to to top.

COPPER BRACELET

I took this wonderful class by Joni Russell at the Small Cleverness. We learned how to etch and transfer on copper. We had so much fun.
I tried to take good photos but kept getting to much shine. So the transfer doesn't show up very well. But I love my bracelet. And a big thank you to Joni for the class and Donna for having it.

Round Robin

This is Renee's book and her theme is "Remember In Green". I love green so had a ball doing these pages.

4 by 4 pages for my book

Colors this month are red, white, and pink. I got a Vagabond and used it to emboss the white 4 by 4 papers, then used a stamp pad to color the red and pink on them.

I am having so much fun with my Vagabond.

We are having a wonderful swap called "Meet The Artchix's". Sandy is our host and we are to make atcs with our image on them. I choose to be a dancer. It was a lot of fun and can't wait to see what everyone else creates.

I used a couple of wooden hearts I had to make these. They already had the holes so I just had to decorate.

Found these salt and pepper shaker for $1.00. So I made little Valentines flowers with them.

MARDI GRA MASK

Art For The Creative Mind hosted a one on one swap-"Mardi Gra Mask". I used a full mask that I cut down. And used this gold glitter butterfly. I added black and gold ribbon on the side. It is neat because you look out though the net on the butterfly's wing. It was fun and I hope my swap partner loves it.

Steam Punk Doll

This is the wonderful doll I received from June Campbell. I just love her and so creative. The swap was two create a steam punk doll. Art For The Creative Mind always has fantastic swaps.

Sue Cervantez is hosting a round robin. Her books theme is "Women Extraordinaire" (Mona, Frida, Audrey, Georgia, and Kate). I picked Kate Hepburn, it was a hard to choose between Audrey and Kate because they are two of my favorites.
Round Robins are so much fun-can't wait to see what every one has created.

Photos Of The Past

I used images from Paper Whimsy. I used sardine cans and an old medal tray. I cut the images to size-used mod podge to attach and seal. added some vintage lace and flowers.

PUZZLE SWAP

This swap is hosted by Susan Guzy. We got two puzzle pieces and a theme for each one with what the main color would be. My first puzzle theme - George Washington-main color brown. The second puzzle piece theme - Vintage Carols-mainn color light brown.

I can hardly wait to see the two puzzle pieces I will get and what theme it is.

I had these cheap silver trays and thought to use them as frames. It is a pretty quick and easy project. The large one is about 7" and the small just 3". What do you think?

Artchix Sister-Site fat page swap. The colors this month chartreuse and gold. The color is chartreuse-doesn't look so in the photo. These were fun colors to work with.

Christmas Stocking

"Art For The Creative Mind" stocking swap. We were to amke a stcking between 6" to 8" and fill it with handmade goodies. Well here is my stocking, I have to keep the goodies a secret until my partner receives it. Sure hope she likes the goodies.

A necklace set-using bullet shells.

SHOT GUM SHELLS

Here is my little snowman made with a shot gun shell. We have a lot of hunters here in Palatka. (even if I don't like hunting-love the animals to much) so I thought it would make a cute gift for the ladies for their husbands who hunt.

BULLET EARRINGS

The brass is from the shells of bullets. I drilled holes and added the beads. More items for our Holiday House.

This necklace is made with the shells of bullets. I added the beads to the shells and it turned out fairly well. What so you think?

PARTY FOR THE BIRDS

Our Lady's Garden Club has an auction every year to raise money for their club. A couple of years ago I went with my daughter and I made abid on a box of miss matched wine glass. For $5.00 I received around 15 glasses, all beautiful and none of them matched. I like the look when I serve wine and we have different glasses, but I also had these birds for a while and wanted to do something with them.
So, I made some paper nest and added some ribbon and stars. I think they will look pretty sitting around for Christmas.
I also had some miss match punch glasses so I made paper nest in them also. Most of these I made to hang on the tree.
I sure hope every one at the Holiday House like them. I might just save one for me.

A NECKLACE WITH TIME

Another necklace for the Holiday House. I have 4 more days to finish my items. On Wednesday we start setting up. It is a lovely Victorian House that our Art League has and we decorate it for the Holidays. It always look beautiful when we are done. Every one has wonderful items they have created for the sale. I hope we all sale everything we have. (a little wishful thinking but I sure hope we do)

TREASURE CHEST

I used vintage post cards for this. I thought it could be used as a jewelry box or a chest to keep writing material together.

The top part is large enough to hold note cards, envelopes and stamps and the lower drawer could hold stationery, envelopes and pens for writing. Or the compartments could hold wax for the use of you seal.
